We work very hard to practise preventive
dentistry - trying to prevent problems rather than having to treat them.
The
backbone of this philosophy is that our patients' mouths are thoroughly cleaned
if necessary, and that a high standard of oral hygiene is maintained. Our
excellent team of dental hygienists carry out most of this work.

Jan
Robey
qualified in 1977 at Bristol University. She
has worked in St. Ives, and in other Cornish practices, before joining our team
in 1995. |
| Penny
White
is a Cornish girl who trained and qualified as a dental nurse, before training
as a hygienist at Cardiff, qualifying in 1986. She
worked for a couple of years in a practice in Wales before moving back to Cornwall.
She has worked in Penzance and Penryn, and joined our team in 2002. | |

In
July 2002 Tracy Davies joined our team. Tracy was brought up in Hayle,
and her interest in dentistry was kindled by a one-week work experience at our
practice whilst she was a pupil at Hayle Community School.
She
subsequently trained as a dental nurse, obtaining her qualification in 1989. After
several years of dental nursing she gained a place at Eastman Dental Hospital
in London, and gained her qualification as a dental hygienist in 2000. After
further study she was awarded the Diploma in Dental Therapy. |
